When it comes to caring for her patients, the focus is always on quality—not quantity. For expectant moms desiring the best, most closely monitored care, and to be one of the few (not one of many), we are pleased to offer our Obstetrical Concierge program for a truly personalized antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care experience. Your membership can include options such as an ultrasound portfolio of your baby, a direct phone number for Dr. Preys with access to be in touch with her 24/7, an unrestricted number of appointments (does not apply to those appointments that are medically necessary), and priority appointment scheduling.
We believe any expecting mother desiring this level of care should be able to have it. Being able to spend more time with Dr. Preys in an environment where you are not rushed, your questions and concerns are valued, and your time is honored are among the top perks of our Concierge OB program.
Pregnancy is typically divided into three trimesters, each lasting about three months. Key milestones include conception, the confirmation of pregnancy, fetal development, and, ultimately, childbirth. Throughout this journey, a woman’s body undergoes numerous changes to support the growing fetus.
Early signs of pregnancy can vary but may include:
These symptoms may start within the first few weeks after conception.
Confirm your pregnancy through a home pregnancy test, which detects the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced during pregnancy. When you meet with Dr. Preys, she’ll also run tests to confirm pregnancy.
Prenatal care is crucial for a healthy pregnancy. Regular visits to an OB/GYN are essential to monitor the progress of pregnancy, address any concerns, and provide essential screenings and tests.
Tests may include:
Prenatal vitamins, a balanced diet, and exercise are also essential components of prenatal care.
Pregnancy brings significant changes to a woman’s body, including weight gain, changes in hormone levels, and an expanding uterus.
You may experience morning sickness, back pain, swelling, and fatigue. Some women may experience complications like gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, or preterm labor. Close monitoring and communication with Dr. Preys means any concerns get addressed promptly.
Dr. Preys works with you to plan for labor and childbirth. She’ll help you create a birth plan and consider pain management options. Birth plans for labor are developed at Cedars Sinai Hospital. Pain relief methods — like epidurals or natural childbirth — and who will be present during labor will be discussed during that time.
She’ll also emphasize the importance of remaining flexible, as childbirth can be unpredictable. Her ultimate goal is to prioritize mother and baby’s safety.
